There have been new arrivals aplenty at Melrose Arch in recent months. Not only has the One on Whiteley residential development welcomed its first residents, but other new arrivals in the precinct are giving residents and visitors even more to choose from.

The Grind Greenery

The Grind is known for serving some of the best coffee in Johannesburg and The Grind Greenery is expanding the coffee shop offering to include the latest plant-based eating, a lifestyle trend that is sweeping the globe. Owner Claire du Preez is a vegan, so the project of bringing vegan eating into the mainstream is a passion of hers, and so too showing that vegans eat and enjoy a lot more than salads. In fact, spend some time here and you’ll quickly realise that there isn’t a salad in sight!

Claire told Times Live, “The majority of our clientele are not actually vegan, but are inquisitive – for example we have loads of people who come to try The Beyond Meat burger, even though they still eat beef.
